Nobody arrives alone. Landing turns the scariest month of a move into a clear day-by-day plan, a neighbourhood that fits, and a real local who shows you around in your first week.
2. Why people can't resist it
Anxiety into a checklist. A vague dread becomes 30 small boxes to tick. Every tick is relief.
A face before you land. Knowing one friendly local's name before the flight is powerful.
A taste of home. Finding where to buy your mum's spices on day 3 makes a new city feel possible.
3. How it works for real
Intake. A short form, or a chat that a fast cheap model (Gemini Flash or DeepSeek via OpenRouter) turns into a structured profile: origin, destination, date, visa route category, household, budget, interests.
Plan. A frontier LLM (Claude Sonnet or GPT) writes the 30-day plan from a verified per-city knowledge base (official registration, transit, health system pages) using retrieval, with links to the official sources and a "general guidance" label on every step.
Neighbourhoods. Open data (rent indices, transit times, parks, schools) scored against the profile; the LLM writes the plain-language "why".
Buddies. Embedding match on interests, language and life stage. Paid guides are vetted and paid via Stripe or USDC on Base through a smart wallet with email login, so crypto stays invisible. Volunteers are free and verified.
Homesick kit. Places data plus community tips, tagged by cuisine and origin city.
4. Cost per use
A full plan costs about $0.05 to $0.12 in model calls (retrieval plus one long generation and a few rewrites). Free: the 30-day plan, neighbourhood finder and volunteer buddies. Paid: local guide sessions (guide sets the price, Landing keeps 15%), and employers or universities pay $49 per newcomer for a branded relocation pack.
5. Growth loop
Every newcomer becomes a volunteer buddy for the next person from their home city 6 months later. Companies and universities send whole cohorts. The "I landed" card shares on day 30.
After day 30, settled mode brings a fresh local-life checklist every month and a buddy dashboard. Each walk with a newcomer adds to a local-guide reputation that grows week by week, so today's newcomer becomes next month's guide.
6. Risks and guardrails
Legal, visa and tax content is general guidance only, links to official sources and is reviewed per city. No immigration advice.
Buddies are ID-verified with reviews; first meetups are in public places suggested by the app. Report and block on every profile.
No storage of passport or residence permit numbers. Location is city level.
Rent listings are never hosted, to avoid deposit scams; we warn about common scams per city.
7. MVP build order
Intake form and an LLM 30-day plan for 3 cities, checked against official sources.
Checklist with progress and reminders.
Neighbourhood fit scores from open data for those cities.
Volunteer buddy sign-up and matching, then paid guides.
Homesick kit and welcome events, seeded by buddies.
