Marketplaces like Etsy, Gumroad, Bandcamp or app acquisition sites sell finished work, and code can be forked on GitHub, but there is no home for the half-written novel or the song with no words. Ghostwriting and co-writing happen privately, with credit settled by email and trust. Unfinished Business lists abandoned work with an honest AI state report, and a split contract on-chain keeps the original creator’s share and name attached forever.
Projects creators upload: manuscripts (docx, Google Docs export, Scrivener), code repos (GitHub link or zip), audio stems and demos (wav, mp3), and video (raw footage via resumable upload to object storage, with proxies generated for viewing). The AI reads text and code directly, transcribes audio and video, and samples frames. Limits: very large footage is summarised from transcripts and keyframes, not watched in full; music is described, not judged; the effort estimate is a range, not a promise. Fallback: the creator can write their own state notes and the report marks which parts are AI-read and which are self-reported.
No good idea should die in a drawer. Millions of novels, apps, songs and films stop at 60%. We give them a second author and keep the first one’s name on the cover.
Storage plus small on-chain fees. A 40,000 word state report costs about $0.15 to $0.40 in tokens; a repo about $0.20; an hour of footage transcript about $0.30. Split contract deploy and payouts on Base: about $0.01, sponsored. Storage: about $0.02 per GB per month.
Free: list 2 projects, browse, adopt 1. Paid: 5% of sales through the showcase, or $6 per month for unlimited listings, large video storage and deeper reports.
Every finished work carries both names and a "Started by, finished by" badge. Creators share their listings ("someone please finish my novel"), adopters share the finish, and every finished showcase invites readers to drop off their own abandoned work. Each Sunday the adopter logs hours on the progress dashboard, the creator reacts, and the milestone bar and deadline countdown give both of them a reason to come back weekly.
